What I did
UX/UI Design of App
UX/UI Design of Admin
The client wanted a mobile app that encourages physical activity through step-counting competitions. Users can sync their fitness wearables to track daily steps, then enter challenges with a minimal fee. Those with the highest step counts win prizes collected from the entry fees, making fitness both competitive and rewarding.
The earlier version of this app suffered from a subpar user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, that caused frustration and hindered its overall effectiveness.
The old UI lacked visual appeal, making navigation a cumbersome task. Users struggled to find and use the app's key features due to confusing menus and layouts.
Super Admin:has complete access to all platform functions.
Other Admin Users:Users with permissions that are limited compared to the Super Admin. The Super Admin can also create new user roles as needed.
Game Pools:Competitions where users contribute money to a collective prize pool.
Free Pool:A low-entry pool for free users, offering smaller prizes.
Pro Pool:A higher-stakes pool for subscribed users, offering larger rewards.
Coins/Points:Rewards earned from physical activities like running or walking, which can be cashed out.
Challenge:Special competitions created by the Super Admin for users to join.
I began with app UI sketches to explore various UX options and user flows. Next, I created detailed wireframes to illustrate the full user journey and app structure. After client discussion and valuable feedback, we refined the app's direction and key features. Finally, I developed high-fidelity UI designs, incorporating our agreed UX decisions, brand guidelines, and visual elements.
We opted for a dark theme for the app, which allowed our bright green brand color to stand out effectively. The app now features interactive analytics, enabling users to easily track their progress.
A key enhancement is the ability for users to join competitions directly from the home screen. They can also monitor their real-time ranking as competitions unfold.
The combination of smooth user flow and compelling visuals has significantly increased user engagement. Feedback indicates that users find the app far more appealing and intuitive compared to its previous iteration.

Users can track their steps effortlessly!
They can view their steps history that is synced with Apple Fitness, and review it by date or step count - all in one app.
To meet the client's needs, I designed an admin panel that streamlines contest management and participant tracking. The interface offers efficient data segregation and easy control, while the dashboard presents comprehensive information, all at one place through visual charts.
This solution enables easy to monitor all the contests, participants, and winnings, enhancing overall administrative efficiency.
